Rise Up for Atlanta, Georgia // Let’s help our city!

November 26, 2018

As we are getting closer to Christmas, we realize that it is the season of going through your current coats, gently-used clothes, toys, and other items to make room for the new. As Jolly Old Saint Nicholas brings new and improved items to your family, we could not think of a better way to give the same joy to others than to partner with us in giving items to Must Ministries  and Remerge Ministries.

Must Ministries is a non-profit organization that has been a beacon of hope in our Atlanta communities for over 45 years! We had the privilege of volunteering a few hours of our time to Must Ministries during Love Atlanta over the summer and saw first-hand the wonderful things they are doing.

MUST addresses the basic needs of individuals, families and children with facilities in the Cobb and Cherokee counties and programs in numerous other counties. MUST also brings together nearly 10,000 volunteers regularly to achieve their mission – Serving our neighbors in need … transforming lives and communities in response to Christ’s call.

As a team, we want to be a part of BIG things happening in our community – and want to give our people the same opportunity! Here is what we are collecting to bless the families that MUST Ministries reaches:

  • New Toys
  • New Stuffed animals
  • New Puzzles
  • New Games
  • New Books
  • New Dolls
  • New Play Jewelry
  • New Bikes
  • New Sports Equipment
  • New Socks
  • New Shirts
  • New Underwear
  • New/Gently Used Book Bags
  • New/Gently Used Throw Blankets
  • New Electronics

We are also partnering with a new ministry called Remerge. As the weather gets more and more frightful, this ministry collects cold weather items to bless those in need. Remerge is formally know as Church on the Street, and their mission is to build communities of peace and activate others for the life transforming work of reconciliation.

Here is a list of what we are collecting to bless those in need in Atlanta:

  • gently used or new blankets
  • gently used or new coats
  • gently used or new sweaters/sweatshirts
  • gently used or new hats
  • gently used or new scarves
  • gently used or new gloves

Let’s partner together to rise up and make a huge difference in ATL this season! Let us know that you have items to drop off by emailing Emily@CatalystHomeTeam.com – we can schedule a time for drop off or pick up.
